COMPLEMENTARY SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
Enguany ens hem proposat apropar el Festival a totes les escoles de la ciutat i ho hem aconseguit. Des del 4 de març fins el 25 de març anirem a totes les escoles a fer una activitat en anglès per als alumnes de quart i cinquè de primària. Són el previs a poder participar al “Primary Quiz Contest” que es fa a la URV-Campus Terres de l’Ebre de Tortosa en cada edició del Festival, enguany el divendres 13 de març.
L’activitat consistirà en un joc anomenat SNAP, que vindria a ser molt semblant al conegut UNO però personalitzat en varies temàtiques com ara animals, números, etc.. òbviament en anglès.
No es tracta d’una activitat competitiva on hi hagin guanyadors o guanyadores, si no més be de participar i de practicar l’anglès d’una manera divertida i lúdica dintre dels horaris de cada classe a cada centre. Volem fer-ho dintre dels horaris lectius d’anglès de cada centre per tal de no entorpir la dinàmica diària del centre.
I volem donar les gràcies a tots els centres, a tots, per l’excepcional acollida que hem tingut. És per al Tortosa Irish Festival un orgull poder dir que tots els centres de la ciutat i el de Mora la Nova, participen en la edició d’enguany del Festival.

This year we set ourselves the goal of bringing the festival closer to all the schools in town, and we are delighted to have achieved it.
From March 4th to March 25th, we will visit all the schools to carry out an activity in English for Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.
These sessions serve as preparation for participating in the “Primary Quiz Contest,” which takes place at the URV – Campus Terres de l’Ebre in Tortosa in each edition of the festival, this year on Friday, March 13th.
The activity is a game called SNAP, which is very similar to the well-known game UNO, but customized around various themes such as animals, numbers- all in English, of course.
It’s a non-competitive activity with no winners or losers, but rather an opportunity to take part and practice English in a fun and playful way.
We will be holding these sessions during their usual English lessons to ensure we don’t disrupt the school’s daily routine.
We would also like to thank all the schools—every single one of them—for the exceptional welcome we have received. For the Tortosa Irish Festival, it is a real point of pride that every school in the town ,along with the school in Móra la Nova, is taking part in this year’s edition of the festival.
